Alameda County Fair 2013

6.30.13 – My summer weekends are usually spent between Ultimate Frisbee with the Polar Bears and wedding photography. Every now and then I’ll notice a free spot on my calendar which always gets me excited. It’s either going to be an opportunity to take a break and just rest, or more likely a chance to do something else I really want to do. I don’t recall going to the county fairs as a kid but I’m making up for it more so these days.

Alyssa and I drove out to the Alameda County Fair with our friends Tom & Lauren on what must have been one of the hottest days of the summer. Giant corn dogs, brick of curly fries, multiple icees, ice cream, deep fried cheesecake, and some gator sausages; If you aren’t full when you leave then you aren’t doing it right. The petting zoo and other animal attractions are usually my favorite parts. Ring toss was a bust as always. The motocross addition this year was pretty cool. And I still haven’t seen a horse race there….here’s to next year.
